Academic Eligibility

Academics in the first priority for student-athletes in the West Chester Area School District. Players are expected to be passing all of their classes. Failure to do so will result in the player being placed on Academic Probation or Academic Ineligibility. I will receive an eligibility report on a weekly basis that notifies me of students failing any classes. This list will determine academic eligibility.

• Academic Probation: In the event that a player is failing one class, he will be placed on academic probation. Parents/guardians, players and teacher of failing subject must complete the Academic Monitoring Report prior to returning to play.
• Academic Ineligibility: In the event that a player is failing two or more classes, he will be placed on academic ineligibility. This means the player is unable to participate in practice/games for the week of ineligibility.
